Why does it need these permissions?
We request only what the extension needs to work. Here's exactly why each permission is required.
- activeTabTo read the URL of the tab you have open.
- scriptingTo read localStorage, sessionStorage, and IndexedDB from the page context.
- cookiesTo access the browser cookie store for the active tab's domain.
- Host access (<all_urls>)Storage must be read from each site's origin — so the extension needs permission for any URL you might inspect.
